Fruiting Body: aecial cups on leaf undersurface of Dicentra cucullaria; spermatia on both surfaces of leaf margins on Dicentra cucullaria; uredia and telia erumpent from underleaf surfaces of Urticastrum divaricatum. Spores: aeciospores 12-17 x 13-21 µm, globose to subglobose, verrucose, orange with hyaline wall; uredospores 18-21 x 20-26 µm, ellipsoid, spiny, orange with hyaline walls; teliospores 10-21 x 29-42 µm, 1-3 cells, cylindric, brown, wall hyaline.

Diagnostic macroscopic feature: yellow granular spots on undersurface of dutchman's breeches, brown granular spots on leaf undersurfaces of stinging nettle
