Fruiting Body: cap 1-3.5 cm; stalk central, 6.5-13 cm long x 3-6 mm at base, equal or tapering upwards. Spore Print Color: black. Spores: basidiospores (10) 11-13.5 x 6-7 µm, cylindric-ellipsoid, smooth, dark brown, central germ pore.

Diagnostic macroscopic feature: cap persists, though gills deliquesce; white floccose veil and stalk

Diagnostic microscopic feature: veil cells 40-200 x 12-40 µm, constricted at septa, terminal cells acute
