Description: Diagnostic macroscopic feature: surface at 1st dry and powdery (covered with pruina), becoming moist and shiny at maturity, flesh and stipe exuding a dark red latex when cut. Diagnostic microscopic feature: pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia similar and numerous on the edges, numerous laticifers present. |
