Description:

Fruiting Body: cap 1-3.5 cm; stalk central,stipe (3)4-8(14) long x 1-2(3) mm diameter, equal. Spore Print Color: white. Spores: basidiospores 8-11x5-7 micro,m, ellipsoid, amyloid; basidia 4-spored; pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia similar and numerous on the edges, hyaline; numerous laticifers present.

Diagnostic macroscopic feature: surface at 1st dry and powdery (covered with pruina), becoming moist and shiny at maturity, flesh and stipe exuding a dark red latex when cut.

Diagnostic microscopic feature: pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia similar and numerous on the edges, numerous laticifers present.
