Upgrade for Herbarium's Storage SuppliesLogo of the State Historical Society of Iowa (Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs)

The Ada Hayden Herbarium received a grant from the Historic Resources Development Program of the State Historical Society, Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs with funding provided by REAP. The 2.5-year project (2020-22) was titled "Upgrading Storage Supplies for Housing Specimens in the Ada Hayden Herbarium". It allowed us to replace non-archival folders ("genus covers") and storage boxes for the Iowa-related specimens in the Herbarium with new, archival folders and boxes.
